Capstone dissertation project. Architected a real-time digital twin of a historical energy system: 3D reconstruction in Blender, real-time simulation in Unity (C#), and a Python RAG system querying historical museum archives via ChromaDB and vector search.
Python backend exposing a REST API that retrieves semantically relevant documents from digitised museum archives using vector embeddings, context graphs, and LLM integration.
Managed 24/7 uptime of critical broadcast systems across VMware clusters, Check Point firewalls, and Active Directory. Progressed from infrastructure technician to IT Support Supervisor.
Background
I started in IT support, working my way through broadcast infrastructure at SPORT TV — one of the highest-uptime, highest-pressure environments you can operate in. With 6+ years' experience I moved from first-line technician to IT Support Supervisor, owning VMware clusters, Check Point firewalls, and a 24/7 broadcast network.
Alongside that, I completed a BSc in Computer and Multimedia Engineering at ISEL, finishing with a capstone dissertation that combined 3D reconstruction, real-time simulation, and a Python RAG system over historical museum archives. The research was published.
I'm targeting remote, individual-contributor roles in Backend Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or DevSecOps. My longer-term aim is to complement practical experience with graduate study focused on space systems and industry collaboration.
Planned postgraduate study: MSc in Space Science and Technology (Digital Forensics & Cyber Security) and a Master of Business Engineering (MBE) in Space Systems.
